I am throwing away all of my underwear!!

Sooooooo, I am not feeling particularly sexy these days.

Possible causes:
I've been trying something different with my hair (more au naturale: see here) -which may or may not be contributing to my confusion. I'm also trying to get rid of these last 10 pounds of baby weight - which has its good and bad days. AND - during a spring cleaning effort, I ended up giving a good friend of mine a lot of things I can no longer fit into. Seeing her in clothes from my "skinnier days" has a special kind of blow to my ego. And to top it all off, someone asked me at a little soiree I was throwing if one of my friends was my DAUGHTER. really? WHAT. THE. HELL??! (excuse my french).  I thought I was going to spit (i know, not very lady-like)!!   Now in my defense, I was dressed like FLOTUS and my friend was dressed like she was going clamming. But still.

I thought you were supposed to feel more confident in your thirties (more emotionally stable, aware, comfortable in your skin)?? Your thoughts here?

So in addition to the battle of the baby bulge. I've got an additional mission. Bringing Sexy Back. From the inside out.  Lets face it. Its important. Well it is to me anyway.  Not necessarily for other people to tell me that I'm sexy. But just to feel it. SEXY is a feeling.

Kevin Hart (Yes, I said Kevin Hart) recently said, When you look good, you feel good. And when you feel good, you do AMAZING THINGS. And I plan to do AMAZING THINGS.

Sadly, I will admit that although I stopped nursing little h about 5 months ago.. I'm still wearing my maternity bras (and underwear). H said he'd like me to step up my game once the little one turned a year old. I think thats my cue.

So I'm looking for some everyday (attractive, cute, sexy, AFFORDABLE) underwear. I found these 50's era little skivvies here - my version of sexy. I think I'd like to stick with variations of black. I've collected a few things I like over here on Pinterest.

Do you have a "go-to" shop/brand for intimates?

And on Sexy:  What do you do that makes you feel sexy (a particular perfume, moisturizer, affirmations)???

Not the skinny friend anymore {Battle of the Baby Bulge}...

I used to be the skinny friend. How about you?

I think I just ate 67 points worth of Weight Watchers points... A Gnocchi with Chicken Sausage, Mushrooms, and a Creamy Tomato Sauce I made for Sunday dinner was the culprit. Gah!! I have one month until I am to be wearing a swimsuit on the beach and I would really like to not look like I need to be shooting water out of the top of my bun (I know a bit extreme). I was just looking through some of our spring break photos (I'm working on sharing the presentable ones) and I look a hot, frumpy mess:-( My posture  is awful (I'm sure carrying an extra 22 1/2 pounds strapped to my chest doesnt help). And This Santa Clause belly is really starting to get on my nerves. H took a lot of pictures from behind.. And lets just say Bootyliscious is not the word I'd use to describe what i saw:-/ Its a good thing I lost those 5 initial pounds or I'd only have about 3 things I could fit into..

Okay.. I'll stop beating myself up now.

My New Plan: (I think this is plan #3).  In my defense, everything doesnt work for everyone, right? You have to find a plan that works for your specific needs and lifestyle. Okay so, plenty of water (which I've been doing an awful job at over the last couple of weeks), healthy diet, and exercise.. I KNOW!

30 Day Countdown until Beach or Bust. And then I will eat all the ice cream I want.

gET mE bODIED!

Reality Check #1.
so she will probably kill me for talking about this, so i wont say any names... i went to visit a dear friend of mine who had a beautiful baby girl a month after my darling little h was born. she opened the door. and she was SO SKINNY. and i was SO JEALOUS. ... its my own fault. i have a problem with .. well sugar. not like , "i've got a little sugar (diabetes)". I just like it SO MUCH. cupcakes, birthday cake, donuts, cookies..ice cream.. all of the special "treats" i give to my little one (who could use the excess calories) i cant help but partake of myself.. additionally, the munchkin and I bake a lot during the week. its one of our favorite activities during the summer to beat the heat and keep the television off. .

Reality Check #2.
Last week, I went to see my doctor and the receptionist says (while pointing at my tummy), "Oh! You're getting a little bigger (with an "awwww" kinda smile on her face). And I replied, "Nope, I'm getting smaller. He's two months old:-( She apologized profusely.

Reality Check #3
My wardrobe is now very limited.  I'm not quite back into my pre-pregnancy clothes. I've actually got about 20 lbs to go. And I'd like to look decent in a swim suit by the end of the summer.

Something like this:

or even this:

A girl can dream cant she?!

I know. Lofty goals, but I've got to get it together. Nursing is not melting the pounds away like it did the last time, but I've got a plan to get my sexy back.

More water.
Less sugar. ( I had a little set back today, while packing a cupcake for the little girl, but i'm back on the horse for sure).
Take the stairs. (This will be tricky as I'm now pushing a stroller, but I think, I'll just carry the car seat (oh dear.. i'm not liking the way this is going).
More fruits and veggies.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I have hit some milestones.. the double chin is gone, i can see my collar bone again, my thighs have stopped sticking together (they just rub a little now), and all of my maternity clothes are officially too big.

So it's day number three since I saw my girl (you know the skinny one) and I've lost a pound and a half. Slow and steady wins the race right?

With a little prayer and abstinence, I will lose this baby weight by the end of the summer or my name isnt Bunnie (tee hee) :-)
