WHAT A GROWN-UP WEARS TO A BEYONCE CONCERT

HAPPY FRIDAY!
YES!!
I'm off to Charlotte with one of my girls to see this fierceness and have a little mommy weekend getaway! I've seen Beyonce a couple of times live, so I know I'm in for a treat (and a work out and a sweat since I will be dancing my little heart out trying to keep up with her)!

I"ve been scouring the web looking for ideas on what a grown person wears to a concert (that they are not dropping their child off too).  Finally last night, I ended up in H&M trying on a few pairs of jeans that I swear (am praying) had to be Juniors sizes. The line was SO LONG, that when I went to check out (with my necklace and tank) I could not even be bothered (I hid them under a pile of plaid short sleeved button ups and am hoping to slip in and out of there this morning when hopefully its not nearly as crowded). It could have been worse. Like going into Abercrombie and Fitch - which I never do. The music and over powering cologne gave me bad dreams for a week.  But I digress.

I'm still not certain what I'll be wearing, but In a perfect world I'd have these things in my closet just in case:

This comfy (and fierce) statement shoe.
Some sexy and worn-in Jeans like these.
A sophisticated/rocker chic (is that even possible??) necklace.
And this Ladyee Boutique blouse I've been eyeing (and is on sale)!!

Now what I AM CERTAIN OF is that I am going to have an AMAZING TIME. A few of my friends have seen her on this tour and are RAVING about the performance. We have a reservation at a great hotel that is walking distance from the venue. Dinner reservations at a fancy (and delicious) restaurant. And NO ONE to wake me up the next day.. except a good cup of coffee.

Am I bragging... maybe a little.  I may get up and leave for my trip before the folks over here even wake up. HA!

What are you getting into this weekend?

xx,
Bunnie

Not the skinny friend anymore {Battle of the Baby Bulge}...

I used to be the skinny friend. How about you?

I think I just ate 67 points worth of Weight Watchers points... A Gnocchi with Chicken Sausage, Mushrooms, and a Creamy Tomato Sauce I made for Sunday dinner was the culprit. Gah!! I have one month until I am to be wearing a swimsuit on the beach and I would really like to not look like I need to be shooting water out of the top of my bun (I know a bit extreme). I was just looking through some of our spring break photos (I'm working on sharing the presentable ones) and I look a hot, frumpy mess:-( My posture  is awful (I'm sure carrying an extra 22 1/2 pounds strapped to my chest doesnt help). And This Santa Clause belly is really starting to get on my nerves. H took a lot of pictures from behind.. And lets just say Bootyliscious is not the word I'd use to describe what i saw:-/ Its a good thing I lost those 5 initial pounds or I'd only have about 3 things I could fit into..

Okay.. I'll stop beating myself up now.

My New Plan: (I think this is plan #3).  In my defense, everything doesnt work for everyone, right? You have to find a plan that works for your specific needs and lifestyle. Okay so, plenty of water (which I've been doing an awful job at over the last couple of weeks), healthy diet, and exercise.. I KNOW!

30 Day Countdown until Beach or Bust. And then I will eat all the ice cream I want.

I would totally rock this with pearls and ballet flats or espadrilles (and a cardigan).

I need that bag (and those bangs).

She's a total MILK - Let me know if you get that:-).

gET mE bODIED!

Reality Check #1.
so she will probably kill me for talking about this, so i wont say any names... i went to visit a dear friend of mine who had a beautiful baby girl a month after my darling little h was born. she opened the door. and she was SO SKINNY. and i was SO JEALOUS. ... its my own fault. i have a problem with .. well sugar. not like , "i've got a little sugar (diabetes)". I just like it SO MUCH. cupcakes, birthday cake, donuts, cookies..ice cream.. all of the special "treats" i give to my little one (who could use the excess calories) i cant help but partake of myself.. additionally, the munchkin and I bake a lot during the week. its one of our favorite activities during the summer to beat the heat and keep the television off. .

Reality Check #2.
Last week, I went to see my doctor and the receptionist says (while pointing at my tummy), "Oh! You're getting a little bigger (with an "awwww" kinda smile on her face). And I replied, "Nope, I'm getting smaller. He's two months old:-( She apologized profusely.

Reality Check #3
My wardrobe is now very limited.  I'm not quite back into my pre-pregnancy clothes. I've actually got about 20 lbs to go. And I'd like to look decent in a swim suit by the end of the summer.

Something like this:

or even this:

A girl can dream cant she?!

I know. Lofty goals, but I've got to get it together. Nursing is not melting the pounds away like it did the last time, but I've got a plan to get my sexy back.

More water.
Less sugar. ( I had a little set back today, while packing a cupcake for the little girl, but i'm back on the horse for sure).
Take the stairs. (This will be tricky as I'm now pushing a stroller, but I think, I'll just carry the car seat (oh dear.. i'm not liking the way this is going).
More fruits and veggies.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I have hit some milestones.. the double chin is gone, i can see my collar bone again, my thighs have stopped sticking together (they just rub a little now), and all of my maternity clothes are officially too big.

So it's day number three since I saw my girl (you know the skinny one) and I've lost a pound and a half. Slow and steady wins the race right?

With a little prayer and abstinence, I will lose this baby weight by the end of the summer or my name isnt Bunnie (tee hee) :-)
