So I got another Wild Hair (see blog post here) up my skirt and decided to do a last minute changeroo to my advent calendar. There is still time to put one together if you LOVE Christmas time the way we do around here and want to add a little something special to the days leading up to.
Here's what you need:
Framed Cork Board (Family Dollar)
Craft Paper
24 Blank Greeting Cards
Flat Thumbtacks
star hole punch (or circle or whatever shape you like)
optional: colored paper and white pen or
You can just write directly inside each card.
Cover Cork Board with craft paper for background
punch out stars and write numbers on them
write daily activities on the inside of each card
affix all cards in numerical order to board with thumbtacks underneath
munchkin - Circa 2010
I even put little treasures underneath some of the cards of Christmas pasts - e.g. Old photos, Christmas letters and invitations to some of our holiday gatherings...
voila!
Super looking forward to next months social calendar
including but not limited to:
touring lights at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens
wearing the ugliest winter sweaters we can find
drinking more hot chocolate than you can shake a stick at
and discussing the true meaning of Christmas (right after I sprinkle Reindeer food on the lawn)...
What are some activities you will be enjoying next month?
