Family Traditions {keepsakes}

So I have a slight bit of a hoarding problem.  I like to hold on to EVERYTHING. Just in case, you know, I need it again.. or the munchkin wants to have it? Lets see... I still have the dress I was wearing when H proposed, the one I wore to my baby shower, my majorette uniform from high school (we might have a reunion?)....  I know, embarrassing... It runs in my family. If my husband could stand it, I'd probably have things piled up to the ceiling in the garage. Bless his heart, he just humors me for the most part.  Now my mom, and grand mom.. Just pray for them.

 I have a couple of secret stashes, but I did a pretty good purge recently. I only held on to a  few "heirlooms" (is what I've decided to call them). Cant be replaced. And instead of letting them get dusty in boxes in the basement or under the bed, I've decided to display them. I love when a house looks "lived in", one that gives you a peek into the soul of the house and the family.  Family photos, mementos, schedules, calendars, kid art on display. LOVE IT. My motto is, "I'm going to make some memories with these people whether they like it or not!"

So here's what I've been working on.

So these are going on the wall today. They are the first of many, is the plan...

Am I the only one holding on to all of this stuff?

P.S. I do realize hoarding is a real problem. If you are a hoarder and I have offended you, I sincerely apologize.

P.S.S. If anyone can tell me where the increase in people stopping by the blog came from over the last few days, I'll be your best friend. AWESOME.

Have a GREAT DAY!!

xx.

No, you are not the only one hoarding--I mean holding on to--these precious memories! Mine are artfully placed in a box. Now, they are coming out! Thanks for the inspiration!
