My favorite so far has still been this blackberry sherbet, but this Buttermilk Sorbet with Lime comes in a close second. The lime gave it just the crisp and tart flavor that just screams summer!! I snagged (and adapted) this recipe from Martha Stewart - It was super simple to make.
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1
Combine sugar and 2 cups water in a medium saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves completely, about 10 minutes. Increase heat, and bring to a boil. Let cool.

STEP 1

STEP 2
In a large bowl, combine sugar syrup with buttermilk and vanilla.
Transfer the mixture to an ice-cream maker, and follow manufacturer’s
instructions to freeze. When freezing is complete, transfer sorbet to an
airtight container, and place in freezer for at least 1 hour.
STEP 3
Slice limes and squeeze juice from a lime wedge on individual servings just before serving. Sorbet will keep,
frozen, for up to 2 weeks.

How are you beating the heat this summer? Tried any new recipes lately? Love to hear all about it...
