I got to sleep in the guest room. Best Mother’s Day gift I
could have asked for (this year any way). Hubby has finally finished classes
for his MBA from Notre Dame!! Woot Woot! I must say this last week was quite
possibly the most horrible of them all. I really wanted to scratch his eyes out
for most of it. I mean for leaving me here with this newborn and three year old
(who has reverted to new born behavior). I love them all dearly, I really do.
But all I could picture in the middle of the night while I was pumping and
preparing bottles and watching blurry eyed episodes of I Love Lucy in the dark while I
tried to burp this little prince for 20 minutes straight was hubby having drinks and
laughs with grown ups. Sadly, I didn’t even
ask what he did in the evenings, because I didn’t want to know. I don’t begrudge
him his fun. He really deserves it. I love him with all my heart for what he
does for this family and for me. But I’m just saying. I really wanted to
scratch him in the eye as I watched him pack for this last trip. So for this
Mothers Day, I slept in the guest room. Not because I actually scratched his eyes out. But
because he loved me enough to let me go in the guest room, close the door, and
sleep. For FOUR hours straight.

Wonderful gift! Funny how sleeping ALL ALONE can be so wonderful! Thanks for coming by my blog via Tiffany's mention. I love yours too! So nice to "meet" you!
